Nasal Sprays – the correct way to use

These days nasal sprays are prescribed frequently. There are various types of nasal sprays – saline spray, decongestant sprays , steroid sprays , anti migraine nasal sprays etc.
Important things to note while using a nasal spray are
1. Shake the spray before use
2. Clear your nose of secretions , but precaution is that if secretions are too thick , then avoid forceful blowing.
3. Angle the nozzle in a way that the nozzle faces the outer angle of your eye on the same side.
4. Do not sniff in vigorously or else most of the spray reaches your throat
5. In case the medicine or its aftertaste reaches the throat , one should gargle and renove the residue of the spray.
